The Latchis Theatre continues its presentations of simulcasts by the National Theatre Live in HD with “Hedda Gabler” on Sunday, April 2, at 1 p.m.

Tony Award-winning director Ivo van Hove returns to National Theatre Live screens with a modern production of Henrik Ibsen’s masterpiece. Hedda and Tesman have just returned from their honeymoon, and the relationship is already in trouble. Trapped but determined, Hedda tries to control those around her, only to see her own world unravel.

Ruth Wilson (Luther, The Affair, Jane Eyre) plays the title role in a new version by Patrick Marber (Notes on a Scandal, Closer).

The Mail on Sunday called the production, “Dark, bold, and devastating. A Triumph.” The Sunday Times hailed it as “A ferocious production.”
