Off the Beaten Path: The Eagle Huntress

The Latchis Theatre’s Off the Beaten Path film series, which showcases recent films which might have slipped under the radar but shouldn’t have, continues its Mud Season Edition on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2, at 4 p.m., with “The Eagle Huntress.”
Off the Beaten Path started two years ago as a way to provide alternatives for those film fans who want something other than the latest Hollywood blockbusters. Audience support has been strong.
In “The Eagle Huntress,” 13-year-old Aisholpan trains to become the first female in 12 generations of her Kazakh family to become an eagle huntress.
Off the Beaten Path concludes on April 8 and 9, at 4 p.m., with “The Red Turtle,” a dialogue-less film which follows the major life stages of a castaway on a deserted tropical island populated by turtles, crabs and birds.
