Pikes Falls Chamber Music Festival

As part of its sixth Vermont season, the Pikes Falls Chamber Music Festival presents two free Friday afternoon concerts at the Latchis Theatre on July 28 and August 4, at 5 p.m. Donations to the festival and to the Latchis are encouraged.
A celebration of music and art based on Jamaica, Vt., PFCM features musicians from the Inscape Chamber Orchestra (www.inscape.org). This summer, PFCM welcomes as guests the NakedEye Ensemble and Trio Amphion. PFCM is also thrilled to have creative contribution from Vermont Poet Laureate Sydney Lea and Vermont Cartoonist Laureate James Kochalka during the second week of the festival.
The July 28 performance at the Latchis features music of Nielsen, Villa Lobos, Lincoln-Decusatis and Brahms, in addition to six contemporary pieces performed by the Naked Eye Ensemble, and a film program “AirFloww” curated by Andrew Brehm and Jennifer Lauren Smith.
The program on August 4, features music of Schubert, Francais and Hallman, plus poetry by Vermont Poet Laureate (2011-15) Sydney Lea and artwork by Vermont Cartoonist Laureate James Kochalka.
