Latchis Arts’ popular Movies for Kids series continues in April on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m., at the Latchis Theatre, 50 Main St. Admission is by donation.

This month’s theme is “April is for the Birds,” celebrating our feathered friends. On Sunday, April 16, the series continues with “Fly Away Home,” the beautifully filmed, heartwarming story of a father and daughter who train a flock of abandoned geese to follow ultralight planes from Canada to North Carolina. It stars Jeff Daniels and Anna Paquin. Nell Minow of Common Sense Media called it a “thrilling, touching adventure for animal lovers.”

The series continues with “March of the Penguins” on April 23. And we couldn’t resist wrapping things up with a showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds,” obviously for bigger kids, on April 30.
