THE QUILTS of GEE’S BEND (documentary short), will be presented by film director Vanessa Vadim with Q&A afterward, on Friday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m., at the Latchis Theatre.

Set in the quiltmakers’ homes and yards, and told through the women’s voices, this music-filled, half-hour documentary takes viewers inside the art and fascinating living history of a uniquely American community and art form. The film complements the Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 Quilt Expo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the River Garden, Brattleboro, presented by the Strolling of the Heifers.

The film screening is a fundraiser for Strolling of the Heifers and Latchis Arts. Admission is by donation.
